The Sierra-Sacramento Valley Emergency Medical Services Agency has designated Tahoe Forest Hospital as a Level III Trauma Center. This means our emergency medicine team has consistently demonstrated their ability to provide advanced trauma life support, evaluation, stabilization, and diagnostic services. Additionally, it allows our team to prioritize severely injured patients throughout their entire course of stay.

The Nevada County Public Health Department in Truckee offers confidential reproductive health services to teens including abstinence education, birth control education and supplies, decision-making counseling and support, pregnancy testing and referrals, emergency contraception supplies, STD testing and referrals, Hepatitis A and B vaccinations, HPV vaccinations, mental health counseling and support, and referrals to community services.
