BulletPoints is an evidence-based curriculum that will undergo ongoing evaluation to identify effective and sustainable strategies to teach clinicians about firearm injury prevention.

In 2005, Placer County Systems of Care with the support of the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA), joined forces with a host of community partners to launch a campaign to transform mental health services through community-based, recovery focused, culturally competent and innovative approaches. Believing the key to lasting change in mental health care in Placer County is to place residents and community based agencies in a true position of partnership with the county, the Campaign for Community Wellness (CCW) was created.

The Placer CCW functions as the legislatively mandated body to oversee the implementation of the Mental Health Services Act. Founded in 1987, Del Oro Caregiver Resource Center is part of a statewide system of resource centers serving family caregivers. Advocates meet with clients on a bi-weekly or weekly basis to set goals using a strengths-based, client-centered approach. The program works to connect clients with resources and to assist clients in navigating all GHC services when appropriate, such as counseling, name and gender change assistance, health insurance options, economic empowerment program, hormone clinics and legal health clinics.
