The Nevada Cemetery District offers a wide variety of interment* and service options in the 18 open and active cemeteries that it operates. The District offers complete interment services, with the exception of permanent granite or marble in-ground memorial markers, once a full-body casket or a cremains urn is delivered to a cemetery. The District will open and close graves for burials of full bodies or cremains and provide grave-side furnishings such as a tent and chairs. It will open and close niches in columbaria for interments of cremains. It will assist in the scattering of cremains or the interment of cremains in an underground vault and provide bronze memorial markers for both.

Hospice of the Foothills provides care that focuses on the quality of life for people and their caregivers who are experiencing an advanced, life-limiting illness. Hospice care provides compassionate care for people in the last phases of incurable disease so that they may live as fully and comfortably as possible.
 
Hospice is available to anyone with a terminal disease with a prognosis of six months or less. A primary goal of hospice is to control pain and other symptoms so the person can remain as alert and comfortable as possible. Hospice care is provided to patients wherever they call home.

Provides education regarding pre-planning, pre-funding, advance directives, and end of life options. Trained funeral counselors answer questions and provide information to assist families with having their end of life choices communicated and even pre-planned to ease the burden left with next of kin. * The word “doula” is often used to refer to a childbirth coach. But doulas can help when life ends too. An end-of-life doula is a nonmedical professional trained to care for a terminally ill person's physical, emotional, and spiritual needs during the dying process.

The emphasis of hospice care is on pain control and symptom management, and emotional support, enabling patients to live out their lives with dignity and comfort, surrounded by the people and things they love. Because end-of-life care presents a tremendous emotional and physical burden on family and friends, hospice fills the gaps to allow those close to the patient to worry less about the details of care and more about the important emotional and spiritual needs of the patient and family. Hospice care is provided in the home, home-like setting, or skilled nursing facility and is staffed by a medical director, chaplain, nurses and aides, medical social workers, bereavement coordinator, and a team of trained volunteers.

First Call Hospice provides end of life care to patients in familiar, comfortable and appropriate surroundings.

Patients may receive hospice care in a variety of locations, including their home or a care center.

First Call supports the patient & patient's family during the end of life process and for 13 months after the patient's death.

Care is provided by an interdisciplinary team: doctor, nurse, home health aide, spiritual care provider and volunteer.

Coordinates hospice care for individuals to provide support for individuals, their family, and caregivers. The goal of hospice is to enhance dignity and comfort as life nears its end. Hospice also provides bereavement support to families through counseling, support groups, telephone calls and letters.

Offers a 37 bed long term skilled nursing and rehabilitative care center. Develops and coordinates care plans. Provides activity and recreational programs, and hospice care. Residents have access to hospital services 24 hours a day. Accepts Medicare and Medi-Cal.
