The Superior Court of California County of Placer Family Court handles cases where parties seek court intervention to solve their family issues.

Judges hear and decide cases involving divorce (marriage dissolution), paternity, domestic violence/abuse, child custody, support and visitation.

The court also provides mediation services to help parents resolve child support, child custody and visitation problems.

If you need assistance selecting or filling out the appropriate forms, contact the Court’s Legal Help Center at 916-408-6446.

If you need assistance with child custody and visitation or mediation services, contact the Court’s Family Court Services unit.

The Conflict Resolution Center of Nevada County provides neutral, third person conflict resolution and mediation services for free in the Nevada County Courts, and on a sliding scale basis for private citizens and businesses in our offices.   • Civil Harassment Restraining Orders

  • Guardianship and Conservatorship

Most tenants around the state have no meaningful protection from rising rents, unfair evictions and abusive landlords.
