St. Vincent de Paul provides individuals and families groceries through the Food Locker Program. Also hygiene packets as available. SVDP also offers families with infants and small toddlers:

To be eligible for participation in the Food Locker Program all clients may complete an application if they are a resident of Placer County, show proof of current residency, and provide a valid form of photo identification.

SUN Bucks, also known as Summer EBT (S-EBT), is a new program to help families buy food for their school-aged children during the summer. Families will get $120 for each eligible child to buy groceries during the summer. Families must use SUN Bucks within 122 days of funds being loaded to their card. Children who get SUN Bucks can still participate in other summer meal programs. SUN Bucks will not affect immigration status.


Will my child get SUN Bucks?
Your child will automatically get SUN Bucks if:
• They are age 6 - 18 years and get CalFresh, CalWORKs, or Medi-Cal; OR
• They are age 0 - 22 years, attending schools that are part of National School Lunch and/or School
Breakfast Programs, AND are approved for free or reduced price meals. Check with your child's school
to make sure your free or reduced-price meal application or Alternative Income Form is on file.

Seniors First offers Meals on Wheels and Senior Cafes.

Meals on Wheels
A service designed to help Older Adults Age in Place by targeting people who are home alone during the day and who have difficulty preparing simple meals. For clients who need the service temporarily.

Eligibility:
At the time services are provided, clients shall be:
  • 60 years of age or older, sufficiently functionally impaired and homebound; or,
  • The spouse, of any age, of an eligible client; or,
  • A person with a disability (of any age) who lives with an eligible client.
Easy
Hot meals are delivered to the door Monday through Friday (except for holidays)

Fresh & Healthy
Meals are prepared fresh daily in accordance with nutritional guidelines for seniors

Flexible
We offer regular service to those seniors who are homebound, as well as short term services for those recuperating from recent illness, hospitalization or convalescent care.

WWJD? (What Would Jesus Do?) Inc. is a nonprofit, non-denominational organization in Western Placer County serving people who are homeless, transitionally homeless, and working poor. From a mobile van in each community at conveniently located sites, they serve their clients a warm breakfast and provide a bag full of food for their dinner. WWJD? can also provide clothing, blankets, tarps, sleeping bags, toiletries, laundry soap, pet food, and other sundries.

WWJD? is an all-volunteer agency providing a mobile food service in the Roseville, Auburn, & Colfax areas of Western Placer County, along with medical care and transportation, referral services for adults and children who are homeless.

Auburn Interfaith Food Closet (AIFC) provides a Homebound Delivery Program (HBSD) - Since 2020, AIFC has a new program to deliver groceries once a month to low-income homebound persons (within their service area). AIFC will provide HBSD participants with enough food each month to make 12 nutritious meals. 

The home delivery service is not on-demand, but occurs monthly on a pre-established schedule. Each guest's order is customized monthly, to best serve their needs.

Amount of food
Each month, HBSD participants receive four days' worth of age-appropriate food for each member of their household.
