Medi-Cal assistance is available through Human Services, one of six Divisions of County of Placer Health & Human Services.

Medi-Cal is California's Medicaid program. This is a public health insurance program which provides needed health care services for low-income individuals including families with children, seniors, persons with disabilities, foster care, pregnant women, and low income people with specific diseases such as tuberculosis, breast cancer, or HIV/AIDS.

Medi-Cal offers medical, dental, vision and mental health care to eligible individuals and families at little or no cost. If you are ineligible to Medi-Cal, affordable insurance plans are available through the health benefits exchange, Covered California, during their November through December open enrollment.

Ride To Walk (RTW) is a therapeutic horseback riding program founded by Dr. Kristine Corn in 1985.

Their mission is to enhance the lives of children and young adults with neurological disabilities by providing innovative therapeutic horseback riding activities that are recreational in nature and adapted to the individual's needs and disabilities.

Ride To Walk received non-profit status in 1988 and is certified by the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH). They serve children with disabilities such as autism, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, attention deficit disorder, head trauma and sensory processing challenges.

Everyone Matters Ministries offers transitional housing program provides up to 12 months for each household in a recreational vehicle.

Everyone Matters Ministries provides:

Transitional Housing:
Through a fleet of Recreational Vehicles or RV's, we are able to provide a transitional housing environment to individuals, couples, or families to have a safe space to live for up to 12 months. We want to help them experience safety, love, and healing so they can overcome the hurdles that led to their circumstances of homelessness.

Requirements:
Each household is required to pay a small program fee, meet with a mentor/case manager, must have a part- or full-time job, and save money each month towards future housing.
