Medical Baseline Program

PG&E's Medical Baseline Program, also known as Medical Baseline Allowance, provides residential customers who depend on power for certain medical needs with qualifying medical devices. Devices include equipment used for mobility, per a licensed medical practitioner.

Portable Battery Program (PBP)

PG&E's Portable Battery Program (PBP) provides backup battery power to qualified customers who depend on life-sustaining medical equipment. The program is available before, during, and after Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) events when PG&E needs to turn off power during severe weather for public safety to prevent wildfires.

Complaints
The Department of Housing and Community Development receives and processes complaints from the public and from public officials related to living in manufactured homes and mobile homes. The agency protects families and individuals who live in mobile homes by inspecting mobile home parks for health and safety violations in areas where the local government has not assumed enforcement. HCD further protects consumers by enforcing regulations for those who build and sell manufactured homes. This agency receives and processes complaints from the public and from public officials related to living in manufactured homes and mobile homes. Individuals can submit a complaint online.

Pioneer Community Energy is a Community Choice Aggregator (CCA) that was formed in 2017. CCAs are not-for-profit public agencies that purchase electricity for residents and businesses in the community, leading to more competitive energy rates. Pioneer is one of 24 operational CCAs in California. CCAs work with investor-owned utilities (IOUs) like PG&E. PG&E maintains the physical infrastructure, delivers the power, and provides the billing service. 

Pioneer serves large areas of Placer and El Dorado counties and the Cities of Grass Valley and Nevada City in Nevada County.

Tahoe Truckee Unified School District provides information for planned power outages which are commonly known as Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) and/or Public Safety Outage Management (PSOM) events. TTUSD has been notified that TTUSD's energy providers may turn off electricity throughout the school district when extreme fire danger conditions are forecast.
