The Roseville/Rocklin/Placer-Nevada Counties Continuum of Care coordinates housing and services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Placer and Nevada counties.

The Homeless Resource Council of The Sierras’ Coordinated Entry system serves as a centralized access point for people experiencing homelessness in Placer and Nevada counties.

Hands of Hope operates as a day service center for people experiencing homelessness. During the day, they provide access to basic needs services, including showers, laundry, hygiene supplies, and a safe place to be. They also offer supportive services for families, helping parents prepare for work and helping children stay connected to school. In addition, Hands of Hope functions as a Coordinated Entry site, completing assessments and connecting clients to local shelters, housing programs, and other community resources.

The Disaster Assistance Improvement Program (DAIP) provides disaster survivors with information, support, services, and a means to access and apply for disaster assistance through joint data-sharing efforts between federal, tribal, state, local, and private sector partners.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), under the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), acts as the managing partner.

Services are confidential and available to survivors of all genders.

Services include:

• 24/7 crisis counseling by phone, text, and online chat
• Emergency shelter and safe housing (pet friendly) for up to 90 days
• Support groups
• Food, clothing, and transportation assistance
• Legal advocacy and help with Domestic Violence (DV only). 
• Court and mediation accompaniment
• Referrals to Nevada County Victim Witness and other support systems
