Eligibility
Eligibility for Placer Children's mental health services includes full scope Medi-Cal beneficiaries, and County Medical Services Program (CMSP) beneficiaries with low or no share of cost. Those who do not meet these eligibility criteria are assessed on an individual basis regarding their need for services.

The Community Support Network of Nevada County is an inclusive, voluntary association of agencies and individuals from the Nevada County community that meet most months to share ideas, learn about area programs and collaborations, and discuss matters affecting Nevada County families. They work together to build skills and abilities that will sustain and improve individual and collaborative efforts to serve the community. They also advocate for families by identifying, raising awareness, building recognition, and enhancing visibility around existing and emerging issues that strengthen families and improve the health and quality of life for people in our community, especially those facing challenges, and the underserved.

CHILD ADVOCATES OF NEVADA COUNTY #4661161
The Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program coordinates volunteers to advocate for the best interests of children who are dependents of the Nevada County Juvenile Dependency Court, helping to ensure they have a chance to live in a safe and permanent home.
For an application packet, contact the CASA program. The application includes a personal interview and comprehensive background check. Trainings for the CASA Program are held in the spring and fall; however interested persons can apply at any time. Volunteers must have driver's license and current insurance.
