The Disability Disaster Access and Resources Program (DDAR) a joint effort with the California Foundation for Independent Living Centers (CFILC) and PG&E to support people with disabilities and older adults before, during, and after a PSPS event.

The program enables qualified customers who use electrical medical devices to access backup portable batteries through a grant, lease-to-own or the FreedomTech low-interest financial loan program.

Transportation resources, lodging and food options are also provided through an online application process to qualified customers. CFILC administers all aspects of the program.

Placer Alerts uses Everbridge, a community notification system, to inform residents in Placer, Sacramento, and/or Yolo counties of emergency events and other important public safety information.

Also known as the Regional Mass Notification System, Placer Alerts provides info from Auburn Police Department, Lincoln Police Department, Placer County Sheriff's Office, Rocklin Police Department, Roseville Police Department, and the Placer County Office of Emergency Services.

Sign up for Placer Alerts online. You can download the Everbridge mobile app to receive notifications through your smartphone. It also includes a map where you can search for current alerts in your vicinity.

Tahoe Alerts provides an interactive web map that allows residents and visitors in all counties surrounding Lake Tahoe to find out which county they are in and which emergency alert system to sign up for.

People can enter an address, click on the map, or click “Use current location” to find out. California counties are Nevada, Placer, El Dorado, and Alpine. State of Nevada counties are Douglas, Carson City, and Washoe.

211 Connecting Point serves Nevada and Placer Counties. Nevada County uses CodeRed and Placer County uses Placer Alerts/Everbridge. The TahoeAlerts website will direct people to the appropriate emergency alert system for their location.
