POSITIVE CHILDHOOD EXPERIENCES - HOPE

HEALTHY OUTCOMES FROM POSITIVE EXPERIENCES (HOPE) #76983393

Positive experiences can ease toxic stress and help children and youth grow into more resilient, healthier adults. Positive experiences can help counteract the affects of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). Healthy Outcomes from Positive Experiences (HOPE) identifies ways that our communities and systems of care can better ensure that all children have more positive experiences and that all families have support to nurture and celebrate their strengths.

The Four Building Blocks of HOPE are composed of key positive childhood experiences (PCEs). The sources of those experiences and opportunities are the foundation for healthy childhood development.

YOUTH RISE - CMH

COLOR ME HUMAN #73440370

June 2021 Youth Rise has completed. For future dates, see web page or contact Color Me Human. https://www.colormehuman.org/youth-rise
---------------------------------------
Youth Rise is a Social Justice Summer Certificate Program designed to give young people ages 13-19 the tools to build a better Nevada County. Color Me Human creates brave spaces grounded in social justice for young people to build community & solidarity, learn, educate, find creative solutions and transform lives & communities.

Guided by experienced adults and community leaders skilled in youth engagement, our team will combine basic civics (how the government works), a history of struggle in America, and safely examine and critique systems built on historic trauma. This interactive workshop will leave youth with a better understanding of how to engage issues they feel most passionate about.
