Children's System Of Care (CSOC) has a Crisis/Child Welfare Services (CWS) Report Line to meet the special needs of children and youth who may be at risk, and their families, in Placer County.

A telephone call can bring help in a crisis. For at-risk children in emergencies and crisis situations, a special 24-hour, 7-day a week, response program is available by calling Family and Children's Services: 916-872-6549 or toll free 866-293-1940.

Koinonia Family Services provides foster and adoption services throughout California and Nevada. While foster care and adoption accounts for the largest part of their organization, they also have programs to treat, support, and improve the lives of foster children, adoptive children, group home children, and at-risk youth and families.

Koinonia is also represents the interests and rights of children and young people in "the system" through regulatory and legislative advocacy.

The Placer Sheriff’s Activities League is engaged in activities and events after school three days a week for local youth.

The events include mentoring, leadership and promote good decision making through sports and/or presentations. The program also implements a drug and gang prevention environment. Look under programs tab on website for specific details of each program.

The Placer Sheriff’s Activities League is facilitated at Parkside Church in Auburn and is hosted by a Placer County Sheriff’s Deputies, Placer County Probation, Children System of Care, Latino Leadership Counsel and KidsFirst.

The Placer Sheriff’s Activities League is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

The Placer Sheriff’s Activities League, along with its partnerships, will work and provide youth with valuable life skills benefiting themselves and the community. Strives to prevent youth involvement of gangs as well as drug use.

Granite Wellness Centers (GWC), formerly known as Community Recovery Resources or CoRR, provides comprehensive services to promote wellness for individuals and families with a focus on addressing substance use disorders.

GWC is a source of naloxone, a medication used to rapidly reverse opioid overdose.

Granite Wellness offers residential and outpatient substance use disorder treatment services for adults and youth with personalized treatment plans including group and individual counseling and other services.

Granite Wellness also provides transitional housing up to six months for adult men, women, and women with young children for people enrolled in outpatient services. Other services include educational groups for parenting, anger management, DUI services, Resilient Child program, Family Educational Series, and more.

Victor Community Support Services offers programs providing a wide variety of mental health and social support services to children, youth, young adults, and families, including psychiatric services for children, youth, and adults. Victor serves the youth and families of Placer County through its partnership with Placer County’s Coordinated System of Care. The office is in Roseville (moved from Rocklin). Wayfinder Family Services provides mental health, kinship, and family support services for children, youth, and caregivers in Placer County.

Programs include:

• Kinship Support Services Program (KSSP) – Free support for relatives or close family friends caring for children. Helps maintain family connections and avoid foster care placements. Call Wayfinder directly for referral.

Child Advocates of Placer County offers programs that support and work with children and youth.

• The Be Bold Youth Program pairs youth with an adult mentor who will become someone they can trust, learn with, and grow alongside. The hope is to provide life tools and skills that can empower youth to make safer and healthier choices.

The Roseville Police Activities League provides safe and supervised environments for recreational, athletic, social, educational programs.

Programs offered appeal to the different interests of children and young adults helping to build meaningful relationships between Roseville youth and Police Officers.

RPAL also partners with KidsFirst to provide homework help to kids twice a week. All RPAL programs and events are low cost. Some athletic activities include Boxing, Taekwondo, Basketball, Dance, art, cooking, and Yoga.

This program is only available for Roseville residents.
