Children's System of Care provides placement approval for matched families through the Resource Family Approval process, and support for parents wishing to voluntarily relinquish their children for adoption.

Fostering
Placer County provides foster care licensing and adoptive home studies to families who are interested in opening their homes. Placer County works in partnership with several community based organizations such as Koinonia Family Services, Stanford Youth Solutions/Sierra Forever Families, Lilliput Family Services, and Families for Children to recruit and educate new foster and adoptive parents.

Children's System Of Care (CSOC) has a Crisis/Child Welfare Services (CWS) Report Line to meet the special needs of children and youth who may be at risk, and their families, in Placer County.
A telephone call can bring help in a crisis. For at-risk children in emergencies and crisis situations, a special 24-hour, 7-day a week, response program is available by calling Family and Children's Services: 916-872-6549 or toll free 866-293-1940.

The Crisis Resolution Center provides a toll-free 24-hour telephone number (available to teens and family members residing in Placer County only) for referrals, personal support, advice, and counsel to teens and parents/caregivers/guardians in crisis.
The Crisis Resolution Center provides solution-focused, trauma-informed, and person focus family intervention; which resolves family crises and establishes reunification of children ages 12-17 with their families. The Crisis Resolution Center, located in Loomis California, is a six-bed (co-ed) facility with counseling services, fully licensed and professionally staffed to provide short-term out-client family services and short-term residential care.

Granite Wellness Centers (GWC), formerly known as Community Recovery Resources or CoRR, provides comprehensive services to promote wellness for individuals and families with a focus on addressing substance use disorders.
GWC is a source of naloxone, a medication used to rapidly reverse opioid overdose.
Granite Wellness offers residential and outpatient substance use disorder treatment services for adults and youth with personalized treatment plans including group and individual counseling and other services.
Granite Wellness also provides transitional housing up to six months for adult men, women, and women with young children for people enrolled in outpatient services. Other services include educational groups for parenting, anger management, DUI services, Resilient Child program, Family Educational Series, and more.

Victor Community Support Services offers programs providing a wide variety of mental health and social support services to children, youth, young adults, and families, including psychiatric services for children, youth, and adults. Victor partners with behavioral health, child welfare, and juvenile justice departments across California, tailoring services to meet each family’s needs.

WAYFINDER FAMILY SERVICES #65631321
Kinship Support Services Program – call directly for referral. Wayfinder’s Kinship Support Services Program (KSSP) supports grandparents, extended family members or close family friends who step up to raise children so they avoid the trauma of separation from their birth family. KSSP is free of charge to families.
Home to Stay – can call directly or be referred by a provider. Home to Stay offers counseling and support services to kinship and birth families who are at high risk for out of home placement in Placer County. Wayfinder provides short-term in home counseling and parent education to enhance parenting skills, building supports and mitigating behavioral health risks to youth and families.
