Sierra Doctors Medical Group offering 15 minute result Rapid COVID-19 tests by appointment and walk-ins. If COVID-19 test is to be sent to a lab (not a Rapid COVID-19 test), results will take 2-4 days.

Insurance:
Call or visit online to see if your insurance is accepted and may help to cover the cost. All patients need to see a provider at Sierra Doctors Medical Group first for COVID-19 tests to be covered by insurance (if your insurance is accepted). There may be a co-pay at the time of the visit.

Cost:
Rapid COVID-19 tests may cost $125. COVID-19 tests, if sent to a lab, will result in a cost sent to the patient from the lab.

Available for United States citizens age 18 or older with a U.S. mailing address who are not requesting name or other changes and have a driver's license or state-issued identification card. Placer County Public Health Department (PCPHD) partners with medical care providers in the community, and the California Department of Public Health, to prevent and control the spread of infectious diseases. We investigate and follow-up on reported cases and their contacts. Staff provide education to individuals and in group settings, and surveillance duties to reduce incidents and prevent additional cases.

Placer County Public Health provides vaccine information and access for Placer County residents, including safety-net clinics for eligible children and limited COVID-19 vaccinations for uninsured adults.

Services include:

• Safety-net immunization clinics for VFC-eligible children ages 4–18

Placer County Office of Emergency Services (OES), in cooperation with local cities, special districts, and fire and law enforcement agencies, provides emergency management services. During an active incident that requires emergency sheltering, such as a fire or a flood, OES secures resources necessary for first responders to protect the community.

The Ready Placer Dashboard provides almost real-time information during disaters.

NOTE: In the event of evacuations, people must follow instructions from law enforcement on the scene.  After evacuation orders are lifted, even if the dashboard shows roads are open, there may be law enforcement on the scene not allowing people back in because of remaining safety issues of which they are aware.
