Grief Support Group 

The goal of the Grief Support Group is to develop insight into how to endure the loss of a loved one, to ease the burden of grieving alone, and to offer skills for adjusting to a new life situation.

Infant Feeding Support Group

This informal support group will help you as you transition into the fourth trimester, and is provided by registered nurses, international board-certified lactation consultants, and certified lactation educators.

Parkinson's Support Group

A community support group in where members can share their experiences, knowledge and coping strategies.

The hotline is operated by trans-identified staff and volunteers throughout the U.S. and Canada. It offers emotional support, crisis intervention, and resource referrals.

Services include:

  • Offering confidential peer support to trans and questioning callers
  • Providing a dedicated line for family and friends of trans individuals
  • Connecting callers with community-based resources

This is not a dispatch service and does not call emergency responders without consent. The hotline centers lived experience and prioritizes support without judgment.

Free virtual counseling through USC Telehealth based at the USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work. Provides services in English and Spanish for people ages 12 and older who live in California. Client and therapist connect from separate locations via a computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone. Serves anyone in California age 12 and older. There is typically a waitlist of up to several months. The agency provides 8-12 counseling sessions.

Can provide suicide prevention resources and offer support to people who have lost a loved one to suicide.

AlterCareLine provides free non-clinical social, emotional, and crisis support via phone or chat to Californians age 12 and older. Services are also available in Spanish.

In addition to support for adults, AlterCareLine counselors are well trained to help middle school, high school, and college students with situations such as family conflicts, homelessness, isolation, problems with friends, bullying, school pressures, suicidal ideation, navigating the online world, academic and financial pressures, or mental health issues.

The AlterCareLine emotional support line is part of the CalHOPE Connect initiative which is a partnership of the California Mental Health Services Authority (CalMHSA) and Alter Health Group.
