Crisis counseling
Survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking can obtain crisis counseling at any time, day or night, either by calling the Stand Up Placer 24-hour Helpline at 1-800-575-5352, using our chat feature, or by coming into one of our service offices during business hours: 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. A trained advocate will assess the survivors’ situations, help them with a safety plan, and go over various options with them.

Shelter and safe housing

The Roseville Fire Department is a member of the Sacramento Area Juvenile Firesetter Coalition. This coalition is a regional program dedicated to a cohesive partnership among community agencies to reduce the number of fire injuries and deaths by providing assistance to the children who exhibit firesetting behavior. Members of this coalition include Sacramento Metro Fire Department, Sacramento City Fire Department, Folsom Fire Department, Rocklin Fire Department, Placer Consolidated Fire District and the Roseville Fire Department.

The Sacramento Area Juvenile Firesetter Coalition hosts four academies throughout the year. Juveniles who meet the requirements established through an assessment process are placed into this three evening, seven hour educational academy. Parents are also required to attend the academy with their children.

Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) provides job training to Placer County residents aged 55 and over. SCSEP is a community service and work-based training program for older workers. Authorized by the Older Americans Act, the program provides subsidized, service-based training for low-income (not more than 125% of the established federal poverty guidelines) persons at least 55 years of age who are unemployed and have poor employment prospects. Participants in the SER SCSEP come from all walks of life, have diverse work experiences, and possess various levels of education.
