Stanford Sierra Youth and Families provides mental health, family support, foster care, and adoption services for youth and families in Nevada County.

Services include:

• Family Preservation – Offers individual, family, and group therapy to help youth stay safely with their families. Services include comprehensive mental health support.

• Family Advocacy and Support – Supports families navigating behavioral health, education, and child welfare systems.

• Pathways to Permanency – Provides foster care and adoption services with a focus on achieving permanent, loving homes.

Foster Care to Success (FC2S) provides college bound foster youth with tuition grants, book money, living stipends and emergency funding for those unexpected expenses that could derail the most dedicated student on a tight budget. They also provide academic coaches, personal mentors, care packages and internship opportunities.

Foster Care Alumni of America (FCAA) provides opportunities for alumni to know each other and to share support and information. Whether attending meetings, responding to chat rooms, or participating in events, FCAA shares alumni stories and experiences as well as builds networks of friendship across the nation.
