This resource is eligible for electronic referral.

FREED works with the California Foundation for Independent Living Centers (CFILC) and PG&E to support people with disabilities and older adults during the activation of a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) event or other emergency. The goal is to enable them to remain safe while independent in their residences and communities. Funding for some services below is ONLY for PSPS events and does NOT include generators.

      • Office of Emergency Services staff attend trainings throughout the year, keeping our knowledge and skills current. OES also plans and organizes trainings and exercises involving Placer County and local, state, federal and regional agencies.
