The Girl Scout Leadership Experience is a collection of engaging, challenging, and fun activities that help Girl Scouts prepare for a lifetime of leadership, success, and adventure. Each level of Girl Scoutsis unique with a wide variety ofactivitiesto try. As a Girl Scout progresses, every level builds upon the last and allows them to explore their interests.

Tahoe's Connection for Families (TCF) provides education for parents of infants, toddlers and young threes before they enter preschool. TCF is open to families with children from infancy to 42 months-old and to expectant parents.

Our program offerings include

• open gym
• prenatal classes
• enrichment classes

SkiDUCK is an entirely volunteer based non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of financially disadvantaged, minority and at-risk youth by teaching and sharing the joys of skiing and snowboarding.

Each season SkiDUCK provides hundreds of kids (ages 7-18) with over 1,000 FREE days of skiing and snowboarding; including free lift tickets, rentals and lessons! In our early days, SkiDUCK expanded to running programs at 15 resorts across nine different states coast to coast. But they have since returned to their home in beautiful Lake Tahoe, CA and their home resort Palisades Tahoe. They are so fortunate to have their support and the support of the greater Lake Tahoe community!

SkiDUCK is committed to partnering with local area organizations with similar goals of serving underprivileged youth. If your community or organization is interested in partnering with SkiDUCK to establish a program to introduce disadvantaged youth to the slopes, give them a QUACK!

Girl Scouts prepares girls for a lifetime of leadership, success, and adventure in a safe, no-limits place designed for and by girls.

The Girl Scout Leadership Experience is a collection of engaging, challenging, and fun activities that help Girl Scouts prepare for a lifetime of leadership, success, and adventure. Each level of Girl Scouts is unique with a wide variety of activities to try. As a Girl Scout progresses, every level builds upon the last and allows them to explore their interests.

Girls on the Run - Sierras inspires girls to be healthy and confident by using an experience-based curriculum which integrates running.

Girls on the Run combines training for a 5K (3.1 miles) fun run with healthy living education. Their programs instill self-esteem and strong values through health education, life skills development, mentoring relationships, and physical training - all of which are accomplished through an active collaboration with girls and their parents, schools, volunteers, staff, and the community.

Genders & Sexualities Alliances unite LGBTQ+ and allied youth to build community and organize around issues impacting them in their schools and communities. 

There are 3 different types of GSAs—all of which can directly impact LGBTQ+ youth: Social, Support, and Activist. Every GSA can create its own mission and goals to meet the needs of its members and the unique climate of their school.

• Social GSAs — Students meet and connect with other trans and queer students on campus
• Support GSAs — Students work to create safe spaces and talk about the various issues they face in school or their broader communities, such as discrimination from teachers or school administrators
• Activist GSAs — Students take a leadership role to improve school climate through campaigns and events that raise awareness and change policies or practices in their schools.

The HOPE National Resource Center is based out of Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. We are creating a paradigm shift in systems of care, communities, and policies to value and actively bolster positive childhood experiences (PCEs). HOPE offers research, resources, trainings and technical assistance to help bring the power of the positive into the lives of children and their families.

Positive experiences can ease toxic stress and help children and youth grow into more resilient, healthier adults. Positive experiences can help counteract the affects of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). Healthy Outcomes from Positive Experiences (HOPE) identifies ways that our communities and systems of care can better ensure that all children have more positive experiences and that all families have support to nurture and celebrate their strengths.
