Truckee Health Clinic Services provide immunizations, family planning and birth control, pap tests and breast exams, basic reproductive health information, STD testing and treatment, pregnancy testing, and routine physical examinations.

The Nevada County Public Health Department in Truckee offers confidential reproductive health services to teens.

Services Include:

Abstinence education, birth control education and supplies, decision-making counseling and support, pregnancy testing and referrals, emergency contraception supplies, STD testing and referrals, Hepatitis A and B vaccinations, HPV vaccinations, mental health counseling and support, and referrals to community services.

The 2024 California CareForce Sacramento Valley Free Health Care Clinic will be Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Sept 13, 14, and 15. It will happen with support from community organizations, and professional and general volunteers. Over the two and a half days, hundreds of patients will receive medical, dental, and vision services free of charge.

The clinic is open to anyone needing services (people do not need to be Nevada County residents).

The clinic requires a multitude of volunteers. Professional medical volunteers are needed to complete the general medical, dental and vision exams and procedures. General volunteers are needed to help with setup, prep, food service and other odd jobs during the three days. See below for links to info about how to volunteer.

Sacramento Native American Health Center (SNAHC) is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) Federally Qualified Health Center, located in Midtown Sacramento.

Below is a list of services SNAHC offers but not limited to the following:

• Cleanings and/or Deep Cleanings

Note that people from Placer County or Nevada County would need to pay out of pocket.  For Sacramento county people, they accept Medi-cal/Medicare, insurance and sliding scale schedule for Native Americans.

Smile for a Lifetime Foundation is a charitable, non-profit organization that provides quality orthodontic care to individuals who may not have the opportunity to achieve a beautiful, straight smile without financial assistance.

Smile for a Lifetime offers all orthodontic services provided FREE of charge.

The National Call Center for Homeless Veterans hotline offers Veterans who are homeless or at risk for homelessness 24/7 access to trained counselors. The hotline offers information and assistance to Veterans and their families; VA Medical Centers; federal, state, and local partners; and community-based agencies, service providers, and others who work with or simply want to support our nation's Veterans.
