The Yuba County Coroner’s Office, part of the Sheriff–Coroner division, is responsible for investigating deaths within Yuba County that are sudden, violent, unusual, or unattended, as well as natural deaths without a physician’s certification.

Services:

Yuba-Sutter legal center for seniors provides free legal services and community education to residents of Yuba and Sutter Counties who are 60 and over.

Services provided to seniors

The Sutter County Sheriff Coroner Investigation is responsible for determining the cause and manner of death. Additionally, every patrol deputy is trained as a Deputy Coroner. Crisis counseling
Survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking can obtain crisis counseling at any time, day or night, either by calling the Stand Up Placer 24-hour Helpline at 1-800-575-5352, using our chat feature, or by coming into one of our service offices during business hours: 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. A trained advocate will assess the survivors’ situations, help them with a safety plan, and go over various options with them.
