Eligibility - Open to any foster case.

Youth are eligible for ILP services from age 14 to the day before their 21st birthday, provided one of the following criteria is met:

  • Youth was/is in foster care at least one day after their 16th birthday
  • Youth is a former dependent who entered into a kinship guardianship at any age and is receiving/received Kinship Guardianship Assistance Payments (KinGAP) between ages 16-18
  • Youth is a former dependent who entered into a Non-Related Legal Guardianship (NRLG) after attaining age 8 and is receiving/received permanent placement services
  • Youth is between 14-15 years with an open dependency case (in placement) & attending school or living in Placer County (*if youth remains in out of home placement at least one day after their 16th birthday, youth will remain eligible…

Legal Services of Northern California (LSNC) provides free legal assistance to low-income people who meet eligibility requirements. Services range from referrals to representation, depending upon the client's needs, LSNC priorities, and resources available.

LSNC serves Nevada and Placer counties. Not all services are available in both counties.

LSNC provides counsel, advice, and representation to low-income individuals and seniors involving:

FieldHaven Feline Center’s FIP Stars program supports pet owners, shelters, and veterinarians in accessing treatment for Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP), a formerly fatal disease that is now treatable.

The program offers medical guidance, emotional support, and direct care through FieldHaven’s Hathaway Veterinary Clinic.

Services aim to increase awareness of FIP treatment, connect cat owners with FIP-knowledgeable providers, and advocate for expanded access to legal GS-441524 medication.

Services include:

  • Guidance for pet owners and veterinarians navigating FIP diagnosis and treatment
  • Referrals to FIP-friendly veterinary clinics
  • Veterinary care and medication access for cats treated at Hathaway Veterinary Clinic
