ROSEVILLE HOUSING AUTHORITY
Foster Youth to Independence (FYI) Housing Assistance Program provides rental assistance through the Placer County Housing Authority. The FYI Program provides portable housing vouchers for eligible youth ages 18-24 who has left foster care, or will leave foster care within 180 days and are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
Applicants must meet income requirements, pass a background screening, and complete a preliminary application, referral form, and certification form. Housing assistance is available for up to 36 months, with potential extensions through the Fostering Stable Housing Opportunities (FSHO) program. Participants may relocate to another county or state through voucher portability if accepted by the receiving housing authority.
Supportive services may include life skills training, education and employment resources, landlord mediation, security deposit assistance, utility assistance, GED support, and college and career preparation services.
