NEVADA COUNTY SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS
Nevada County Superintendent of Schools sponsors the Family Resource Centers (FRCs).
They're intended to meet the needs of all families in the region, not just those whose children attend school at that location.
Each of the Family Resource Centers offers the following core services:
They help parents find support and services they need. They make referrals and can direct parents and help navigate community services. Services are free of charge and families are encouraged to drop in during operating hours.
FRCs are a comfortable, inviting space for parents and children, including changing tables, toys, rocking chairs, couches, and the like. They have support available for Spanish speakers and have a Parenting Education Specialist who offers classes and support.
If your family is in need of support please call them. Or, if you know of a parent who has questions about what is available in the community, please refer them to one of the PARTNERS Family Resource Centers.
