AMI HOUSING, INC
AMI Housing, Inc (AMIH) provides housing, employment and life skills programs to residents of Nevada County and Placer County who otherwise might be homeless. AMIH also manages and operates Nevada County Housing Development Corporation. Offers assistance in multiple languages through a Language Line service.
All AMI programs require proof of residency in Placer County for 14 days.
AMI's Sun Rose Apartments are studio apartments with full kitchens and private bathrooms, ADA units and hearing-impaired units. Studio sizes are typically 350 sq. ft., however, some of the units are up to 500 sq. ft. and can accommodate 2 possibly 3 person households (small child and 2 parents).
Eligibility requirements
Individual or household must be Placer County residents, experiencing homelessness, and very low income. People must complete a Coordinated Entry intake through 211. Sun Rose Apartments does NOT have a requirement for a mental health diagnosis. AMI Housing's Sun Rose Apartments program does not accept 290 sex registrants.
