NAMI Nevada County (National Alliance for Mental Illness) is a grassroots, family, and consumer self-help support and advocacy organization dedicated to improving the lives of people with severe mental illnesses such as:
  • Schizophrenia
  • Bipolar disorder (manic depressive)
  • Clinical depression
  • Panic disorder
  • Obsessive-compulsive disorder (O.C.D)
  • P.T.S.D.
NAMI offers support groups and educational classes for families experiencing a mental illness such as:
  • Family Support
    • IN PERSON Support Meetings
      Twin Cities Church - Room 129
      (enter the on the far left side of the church)
      1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month
      5:30 - 7:30pm

      ZOOM Online Support Meetings
      2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month 
      5:30 - 7:30pm
  • Family to Family education class (two times yearly)
  • Monthly general education meetings

If you need immediate help and someone is in danger of harming themselves or others, call 9-1-1 or go to the nearest hospital Emergency Room.

NAMI provides family support and education to anyone free of charge. They also provide one-on-one support for people who need resources, including suicide prevention resources.
