NAMI Nevada County (National Alliance for Mental Illness) is a grassroots, family, and consumer self-help support and advocacy organization dedicated to improving the lives of people with severe mental illnesses such as:
- Schizophrenia
- Bipolar disorder (manic depressive)
- Clinical depression
- Panic disorder
- Obsessive-compulsive disorder (O.C.D)
- P.T.S.D.
NAMI offers support groups and educational classes for families experiencing a mental illness such as:
- Family Support
- IN PERSON Support Meetings

NAMI provides family support and education to anyone free of charge. They also provide one-on-one support for people who need resources, including suicide prevention resources.
