October 2023 - Connecting Point’s Disaster Case Management Program (DCMP) can work with eligible Nevada County Residents who were impacted by the 2023 Winter Storms. The funding is from FEMA disaster declaration DR-4699-CA - California Severe Winter Storms, Straight-line Winds, Flooding, Landslides, and Mudslides - FEMA incident period February 21, 2023 - July 10, 2023.

If your primary residence was severely damaged or destroyed by the 2023 Winter Storms, you may be eligible to receive case management. Renters can also be referred if there was damage to their personal property. Having applied for FEMA already is NOT a requirement for case management services.

Please call 211 or 833-342-5211 to be referred to a Disaster Case Manager. All navigator services are free.

Connecting Point’s Disaster Case Managers (DCMs) will work one-on-one with individuals and families who have been impacted by the 2023 Winter Storms. Meeting regularly and as needed, the DCMs will be able to work with you step-by-step throughout the recovery process and can assist with FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) and SBA (Small Business Administration) appeals, connect you with other resources for your storm recovery, and assist with navigating insurance claims. Case managers work alongside a Construction Cost Analyst who can assist homeowners with reviewing repair quotes, assessing damages, and communicating with contractors. DCMs can provide a physical place where you can print, fax, email, and copy documents, and keep you up to date with any updates as they are released.
