AAA4 is a key partner in the Aging & Disability Resource Connection (ADRC). The Aging and Disability Resource Connection (ADRC) is a collaboration between government agencies and community organizations. Its purpose is to provide a single system for people seeking reliable information about and access to Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS) for older adults, people with disabilities, caregivers, veterans, and families.
Long-Term Services and Supports are those that are required by people with disabling conditions or chronic illnesses who need assistance with common activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
In California, a patchwork of programs provide LTSS services. LTSS benefits are financed using a combination of federal, state, and local funds. California’s ADRCs are led by a core partnership between Independent Living Centers (ILC) and Area Agencies on Aging (AAA), and include many partner organizations.Web pages
