AMI Housing screens people with a mental health diagnosis for tranistional housing. Community members can call the main office to leave a message: 530-878-5088 option 2. Placer County residents only.

All AMI programs require:

• proof of county residency for 14 days before being eligible for funding
• current income that can support housing costs going forward after any funding assistance from AMIH

​AMIH offers assistance in multiple languages through a Language Line service.

CALL AGENTS: Since we cannot ask callers if they have a mental health diagnosis, you can provide this info to people who you think might be eligible based on your interaction with them.

Case managers from any Placer County agencies must contact AMI via HCTeam@amihousing.org to submit a referral for a client screening.

CALL AGENTS: If you get calls asking about AMI Housing’s Adult Residential Facility (Lilac Lane), the key thing to know is that 211 cannot directly refer. Clients must meet the criteria below. Lilac Lane is a 15-bed board and care in North Auburn that provides 24-hour support to clients who:

• Have a serious mental illness;
• Receive ASOC or Turning Point services;
• Are independent with their activities of daily living, but need assistance with their instrumental activities of daily living (including medication management);
• And need more support than independent housing provides, but do not require skilled nursing facility-level care.
