Placer County Resource Conservation District operates a cost-share chipper program to support wildfire mitigation and defensible space efforts. 

The program provides low-cost residential chipper service for Placer County residents and is funded in partnership with CAL FIRE.

Program details include:

• Chipper crew available for $80 per hour to chip and broadcast piled vegetation
• Service available only after piles are fully prepared
• Cost-share fee waivers available for residents meeting “Very Low Income Limit”
• Vacant lots not eligible for service
• Online requests receive an emailed invoice for payment
