The Nevada County Superintendent of Schools Office (NCSOS) offers training for:
  • MEDIC FIRST AID BasicPlus CPR, AED (Automated External Defibrillator) and First Aid for adults (8 years of age and older)
  • PediatricPlus CPR, First Aid & AED for adult/child/infant (1-8 years of age = child; 1 year of age or less = infant)

BASICPLUS CPR, AED, AND FIRST AID FOR ADULTS
Intended Audience:
  • Nevada County School Staff desiring or required to be CPR/AED/First Aid certified
  • Parent and community members are welcome to take the course as well
  • School administrators
  • Coaches
  • Physical educators
  • Teachers
  • Custodians
  • Candidates for teaching credential must complete this training prior to student teaching.
  • Instructional aides
  • Any support services assigned to delivering CPR/First Aid and EpiPen and other medication administration.
This program is designed to meet both federal and state guidelines requiring certification in their workplace and complies with OSHA. Recognized certification period is 2 years.

PEDIATRICPLUS CPR, AED, AND FIRST AID FOR CHILDREN
Intended Audience isNevada County School Staff or individuals who desire or are required to be certified in Pediatric First Aid, CPR, and AED such as:
  • School bus drivers
  • Childcare workers
  • Teachers (children 1-8)
  • After school program staff
  • Parents
  • Babysitters
  • Foster Parents
  • Adoption
  • Child Advocates
  • Child Care Providers
This program is designed to meet National and state guidelines and standards for pediatric first aid, CPR, and AED training. Recognized certification period is 2 years.
