From time to time Waste Management collaborates with Nevada County, Bureau of Land Management, and the US Forest Service to host tire amnesty events for proper tire disposal.

Tire Amnesty events for 2024:

• Sat, Oct 19 at Bear River HS. 8am – 2pm.
• Thu, Oct 31 at the North San Juan Transfer Station on Flume St. 8am – 2pm.
• Wed, Oct 30 at the Penn Valley Rodeo Grounds. 8am – 2pm.
• Mon, Oct 28 & Tue, Oct 29 at the McCourtney Road Transfer Station. 8am-2pm.

Car tires without rims. No large truck tires or tractor tires. 9 tires per load only. No tire shops or other businesses.
