Ordinaces regarding masks and public nuisance were passed by the city council of the City of Nevada City on Decemr 9, 2020. The City of Nevada City abides by COVID-19 Guidance information from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH).

Any person who violates the [CDPH face covering] Guidance is in violation of this urgency ordinance and is subject to administrative citations under Nevada City Municipal Code Chapter 1.22. The fine amount for the first violation is $100, the second violation is $150, and the third violation is $200.
