Child Advocates of Placer County offers programs that support and work with families.
  • The Family Mentors program assigns CASA-trained mentors to work one-on-one with parents who are striving to rebuild their families. These parents are either working toward reunifying with their children who are in the child welfare system, or are recovering from drug abuse or domestic violence and are at-risk of having their children enter the child welfare system.
  • Kinship Allies promote and support kinship placements by providing referrals to community resources, system navigation, and relationship building. Volunteers meet with Caregivers to provide education and support.
  • The Parent Empowerment Group (PEG) is reunification support coupled with a peer support group for parents who are navigating the child welfare system for the first time.
