Face Coverings Guidance
As of 2/15/2022
California’s indoor masking requirement will expire after Feb. 15, 2022, reverting to the previous guidance requiring masking for unvaccinated individuals in all indoor public settings and all individuals in higher risk settings.----------------------------------------------------

EXPOSURE NOTIFICATIONS
  • CA Notify - CA Notify is available on Dec 10, 2020 - Add your phone to California’s exposure notification system to get COVID-19 exposure alerts and to protect those around you. This is an opt-in notification system to help in the contact tracing process. Once you opt-in, through Bluetooth technology, the app will let you know if you’ve come in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 and who has consented to have that information released. - https://canotify.ca.gov/

  • Hotels, Lodging, & Short Term Rentals (STRs) https://covid19.ca.gov/stay-home-except-for-essential-needs/
  • When the Regional Stay Home Order is in effect in a region, hotels and lodging can only offer accommodation for COVID-19 mitigation and containment measures, treatment measures, accommodation for essential workers, or providing housing solutions, including measures to protect homeless populations.   • When a region is in tier system status, hotels and lodging cannot accept or honor out-of-state reservations for non-essential travel, unless the reservation is for at least the minimum time period required for quarantine and the persons identified in the reservation will quarantine in the hotel or lodging entity until after that time period has expired.

PREVENTION
QUARANTINE & ISOLATION For anyone asking for a form to fill out or an approval letter to return to work after they've been self-quarantining or self-isolating:
  • There is no form to fill out
  • Placer County Public Health Department is not providing individualized return to work clearance letters
  • Guidance docs are provided by California Department of Public Health (available on Placer County's Guidance website) showing when to safely end self-quarantine or self-isolation

RECREATION
REPORT POSITIVE, AT HOME COVID-19 TESTS

Individual reporting of self-test results
  • Individuals should report their test result according to the instructions recommended by the test.
  • Some home tests have automatic reporting, others require the individual who tested to report their results through a phone application.
  • If the test does not provide electronic reporting, positive test results should be shared with their healthcare provider in order to receive appropriate medical care.

  • COVID-19 Guidance, FAQs, Questions, and/or Technical Assistance Requests - School guidance information and answers to frequently asked questions (FAQs) are available on the California Safe Schools for All Hub at https://schools.covid19.ca.gov. The Placer County Public Health Division aligns with California Department of Public Health guidance and will not differ. Therefore, questions or technical assistance requests can be submitted through the CA Safe Schools for All Hub (online) for the California Department of Public Health to respond.
  • COVID-19 Guidance Questions and/or Reporting Concerns - If you have questions regarding the CDPH guidance, or would like to report non-compliant concerns on COVID-19 related mitigation efforts, you may contact the CDPH COVID-19 Hotline at 1-833-422-4255. The hotline is open Monday-Friday from 8 AM-8 PM, Saturday-Sunday from 8 AM-5 PM.
