July 2023 - The Welcome Center has CLOSED. There are no plans to reopen it but options are being explored.

Welcome Center is a part of Adult System of Care, one of six Divisions of County of Placer Health & Human Services. The Welcome Center is a Peer-run program where guests, consumers, and community members find a fun, supportive, and informative environment.

Guests of the Welcome Center find assistance with:
  • Housing resources
  • Connecting to Mental Health services
  • Connecting to Substance Use Disorder services
  • And connections to other services offered in the community

The Welcome Center offers a wide variety of support groups, classes, and activities ranging from:
  • Men's Support Group
  • Ready to Rent classes
  • Smoking Cessation
  • Bingo
  • Movie times
Groups and classes are designed and facilitated by Peer Advocates and County staff to meet the needs of the Welcome Center guests.

ID Vouchers/Fee Waivers
The Welcome Center provides vouchers to help people pay for California identification cards (ID cards). After getting the voucher from the Welcome Center, people can go to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to apply for an ID card. This program is for ID cards only. There is no voucher program for driver's licenses.
