The Nevada County Law Library is the primary depository of legal reference materials for the County of Nevada, and provides open access of these resources to all members of the community.

Offers approximately 6,000 volumes of reference materials including: Nolo Press self-help law books, the Nevada County Codes, and the Municipal Codes of Grass Valley, Nevada City, and Truckee. Electronic resources include public internet access and computer stations are available for Westlaw, Lexis Nexis Digital Library, CEB OnLaw, Judicial Council forms, legal pleadings, and word processing. Because the Law Library has gone almost completely electronic, our hard-bound books do not always contain the latest updates.

The Law Library offers noon time legal seminars via Zoom, for a nominal fee, and a listing may be found on the Court's website at

The Board of Trustees of the Nevada County Law Library meets on the second Wednesday of every month, 12:00 PM-1:00 PM in the Law Library Conference room. The public is invited to attend.

This is one of many possible First 5 Nevada County Ready to Grow (R2G) program resources. Ready to Grow resources are those that support the well-being of children ages 0-5.
