What is WATAH?

The WATAH group is made up of adolescent boys and girls, ages 12-16.

The WATAH group meets twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4pm-5:30pm to discuss issues, such as problems rooted in low self esteem, social skills deficiencies, and problematic behaviors.

Community service combined with positive adult interaction is also an important part of the program. WATAH is geared to the needs of youth and provides protocols for directing the energy potential in our youth, as well as preparation for dealing with life's pressures and enhancing social skills. In accordance with the Diversion Program, you are guided by home and school visits.

Parental guidance is supported with contractual terms and conditions in the voluntary contract, as well as expanding communication and parenting skills. The program is a drug deterrent not substance abuse treatment.

What does WATAH do?

Learn how to resist peer pressure, Learn effective decision making skills, Encourage goal setting, Support personal change, Develop artistic skill Build confidence through rock climbing and ropes courses.

Family Team Meetings are designed to Increase family communication, Inform parents of progress. enhance parenting skills and Establish community resources.
