The Community Engagement & Prevention program is a resource hub for both families and individuals, connecting community members with the help they need. All services are free and available in English and Spanish.

Services include:

• Professional advocacy and case management
• Government benefit application assistance (medical, CalFresh, LiHeap, CalWorks)
• Healthcare enrollment assistance (MediCal, MediCare & Covered California)
• Healthcare navigation (referrals)
• Housing search & retention services
• Emergency hunger relief
• Financial coaching
• Tax prep with American Association of Retired Persons (AARP)
• Homeless outreach
• Moms' Cafe - Virtual Moms' Cafe for families with children. This virtual meeting is for socializing with other mothers. Nurses from Placer County Public Health will be available to answer questions. The virtual moms' cafe will also include special presentations. Available in English and Spanish.
• Parents' Cafe - Virtual Parents' Cafe for families with children ages 5-10. This virtual meeting is for sharing conversations to learn more about the growth of our children. Parents will learn tools to know how to support them. Available in English and Spanish.
