The Dollar Energy Fund provides the Relief for Energy Assistance through Community Help (REACH) programs on behalf of Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E).

Programs apply payments directly to the past-due utility bills of eligible households.

REACH currently offers two types of assistance, depending on household income level.

Services include:

  • Managing the REACH program for low-income PG&E customers
  • Managing the REACH Triple Match program for low- to moderate-income PG&E customers
  • Offering assistance to Pioneer Community Energy customers who use PG&E infrastructure
  • Applying grant payments directly toward past-due utility balances

Notes:

Eligibility and award amounts are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. One grant award is allowed per household every 12 months. Maximum grant amounts vary each year.

Grants can only be used for past-due balances.
