      The Nevada County Public Health Department provides a Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health (MCAH) Program.  This program offers pregnant parents and families with young children free home visits that are tailored to the families' specific needs.
Nurses can meet families in the comfort of their own home or by phone to provide:
	- Information about health, caring for your baby, breast/chest feeding, development, parenting, safety, family planning and more
 	- Links to local services for healthcare, housing, food, transportation, day care, etc.

		- Moving Beyond Depression - One-on-one Perinatal  Depression Treatment for families in a home visiting program
 		- Becoming Us - Four session class for to-be parents on
		building a strong relationship before baby arrives 		- Parent Meetup support group
 		- Infant / Baby Feeding Support Group - Lactation support, baby weights and feeding questions
 		- Nurse Home Visiting - Resource navigation, breastfeeding support, health assessments, parenting information
