Volunteers of America - Northern California & Northern Nevada’s (VOA-NCNN) Veterans Services program provides supportive services to extremely low or very low-income veterans who are facing homelessness.

Through the Homeless Veterans' Reintegration Program (HVRP), we offer a very comprehensive program for veterans; including housing assistance, counseling, employment training, temporary financial assistance, case management and other supportive services (e.g. access to food, household items, and furniture).

The case management services are designed to improve veteran families’ housing stability and may include assistance in securing housing, daily living needs, health care, transportation, fiduciary and payee services, legal aid, child care, financial literacy, etc.

Additionally, we connect veterans to the various resources available through Veterans Affairs and other government programs.

The employment services program offers employment readiness, workshops, job counseling, resume preparation, interview preparation, job placement, and retention services. HVRP program staff also ensure that participants receive essential supportive services such as interview clothing, assistance with filing of VA Benefit claims, community referrals and resources, and a full computer lab.

All veterans can utilize the Veterans Service Center to look for employment, receive resume assistance, attend workshops, and other events.
